About the Artist

ARTIST BIO

As a lifelong artist, Patricia has been captivated by the vibrant beauty of the natural world since childhood. At the age of nine, she first experimented with creating flowers from colored corn kernels, sparking a passion for artistic expression that has only grown over the years. This journey has evolved through a deep commitment to learning and exploration across diverse mediums, including oil painting, photography, doll making, and digital graphic design.

Patricia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Saint Xavier University in Chicago, IL. She further enhanced her skills through a scholarship to the Art Institute of Chicago, where she studied letterpress and papermaking. Under the guidance of Wes Berrier at the Hobart Arts League in Indiana, she learned the Rembrandt method of oil painting. Her classical realism / old masters practice has continued through various Atelier study with instructors including Stephen Bauman, Christina Grace Mastrangelo and Sadie Valeri.

She lives in Camuy, Puerto Rico, on a countryside farm with her husband Noel, their GS dog Wendy, chickens, guinea fowl, and Tormenta, a Paso Fino horse. She paints pets, wildlife and diary cows'  and places — birds, light, land, and the quiet dignity of the living world.
